MINEOLA, N.Y. – Nocianie Joseph, 33, of Hempstead and Travis Troiano, 33, of Westbury are currently facing charges following allegations that they fabricated documents pertaining to Joseph’s community service requirement. Joseph was obliged to complete the service after she pleaded guilty to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in 2022.

District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly stated last Friday, May 12, 2023, that the accused submitted falsified paperwork to the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. The documents purportedly showed that Joseph had fulfilled her community service at the Yes We Can Community Center in North Hempstead.

The charges against Joseph and Troiano include Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, Offering a False Instrument for Filling in the First Degree, and Official Misconduct. If convicted, they could face a maximum of up to 7 years in prison.

Detective investigators from the NCDA received Joseph on May 12, 2023. Troiano surrendered today. Their next court appearance will be on June 14, 2023.
