Police searching for elderly men on Mopeds wanted in Crown Heights Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Police in Brooklyn are investigating a shooting that took place Friday morning in Crown Heights involving two elderly men who fled the scene on mopeds. The incident took place at around 7:20 AM near Prospect Place and Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights.

According to police during an altercation, two elderly individuals brandished firearms and fired multiple shots at the 37-year-old victim. The victim sustained gunshot wounds, with one bullet striking his shoulder and another hitting his hip.

Following the shooting, the assailants fled the scene, heading westbound on Prospect Place using separate dark-colored mopeds.


Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County where he was last listed in stable condition.

The first suspect was described as a male aged approximately 50 to 60 years old, with a light complexion. He stands approximately 5’10” tall and has a medium build. During the incident, he was seen wearing a red helmet, a blue jacket, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

The second suspect was described as a male aged approximately 60 years old, with a medium complexion. He is around 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall and has a small build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
