Suspects sought in cane attack in the Bronx

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Thursday, April 27, at around 10:20 pm, a 20-year-old male was reportedly waiting in front of 3031 Cruger Avenue. He was then surrounded by approximately six unknown males. The group proceeded to assault the victim, striking him multiple times in the body and head. One of the individuals is also reported to have used a metal cane during the assault.

The victim’s cellphone was stolen during the incident before the individuals were seen entering the Burke Avenue Train Station.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi and is currently in stable condition.


The New York City Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the individuals involved. Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
