NYPD cop arrested for sending indecent material to minor

NEW YORK, NY – A New York City Police Department officer was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with disseminating indecent material to a minor and acting in a manner injurious to a minor.

He was arrested at 10:23 am in Staten Island.

The officer was identified as Christopher Terranova, a 33-year-old male who serves as a member of the NYPD. Terranova now faces serious charges related to the dissemination of indecent material to a minor and acting in a manner injurious to a child.


Law enforcement officials, acting on credible information and conducting a thorough investigation, deemed it necessary to apprehend Terranova.

According to public records, Terranova currently serving at the 121st Precinct since June 2013. The officer’s active service with the department began in July 2011. Based on available information, his annual income last year amounted to $117,000.
