Two shot and killed in Philadelphia Monday Morning

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A double shooting in Philadelphia’s Wynnefield neighborhood resulted in two fatalities early Monday morning. Police suspect the shooting may have been related to car burlgaries.

The Philadelphia Police Department reports that the shooting took place in the 1700 block of North Ruby Street shortly after 3 a.m.

A 31-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were found shot at the scene.

One victim was pronounced dead on the spot while the other died at the hospital. Among the items found at the scene were a stolen 9mm gun, welder’s gloves, and a spark plug, which police suggest may have been used to break into cars.


The Philadelphia Police Department is actively investigating and urges anyone with information to get in touch.
