40-year-old shot in Hackensack, suspects sought

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department are conducting an investigation into a shooting that happened in the area of Clay Street and Second Street in Hackensack on Tuesday, at 5:30 p.m.

Responding officers found a 35-year-old male victim with a graze wound from gunfire, while a 40-year-old male victim had been transported to Hackensack University Medical Center moments after the shooting. The 40-year-old is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Chief Jason Love of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Captain Michael Antista of the Hackensack Police Department. At this time, no additional information is available.
