NYPD investigating assault and robbery of woman in Brooklyn

NEW YORK CITY, NY – As part of an ongoing investigation, detectives have released additional photos on Wednesday of suspects wanted in a recent robbery.

The NYPD is seeking assistance in identifying a group of five individuals in connection with a robbery on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

At approximately 11:50 pm in front of 234 Broadway, a 46-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed. The individuals punched and kicked her, forcibly removing her purse which contained a cellphone, wallet, $25 in cash, and bank cards. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull in stable condition.


The suspects, described as teenagers with slim builds and medium complexions, fled eastbound on foot. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit tips through their website or Twitter.
