Woman Attacked Inside NYC Subway Station

NEW YORK CITY, NY- An assault incident occurred in a train station in the Bronx last Saturday. Police are currently searching for the assailant.

According to police reports, the victim, a 23-year-old woman, was waiting for a northbound ‘N’ train on the platform of the 39 Avenue and 31 Street train station. During this time, an unidentified individual approached her, resulting in a verbal altercation. The situation escalated when the individual became angry, spitting in the victim’s face and engaging her in a physical confrontation. The assailant forcibly pulled the victim’s hair, causing her to fall to the ground.

Additionally, the attacker brandished an unknown sharp object and used it to puncture the victim’s right shoulder. Subsequently, the individual fled the train station in an unknown direction. Emergency Medical Services responded promptly and transported the victim to Mount Sinai Queens, where she is in stable condition.


Authorities describe the individual as a female with a dark complexion, approximately 33 years old, and standing around 5 feet 6 inches tall.
