Bank Robbery in Roxbury Leads to the Arrest of Wanted Fugitive

BOSTON, MA – On Friday, at about 10:45 AM, officers from District B-2 arrested a man in connection to a bank robbery at 435 Brookline Avenue. Rolando Gala, 41, a Roxbury resident, was identified and detained without incident based on a photo provided to the officers.

Upon his arrest, officers recovered $749 in US currency. Gala, who was previously highlighted on a BPD Most Wanted List, was charged with armed robbery. At the time of his detention, Gala was also wanted on outstanding warrants for unarmed robbery and drug-related charges out of Suffolk Superior Court and Roxbury District Court. He is expected to appear in Roxbury District Court for his arraignment.
