Woman charged for Utica burglary

UTICA, NY – In response to a reported burglary, Utica Police Department units were dispatched to a residence on the 1200 block of Mathews Ave. An unidentified individual allegedly entered a garage and removed items including jewelry, gems, power tools, and other household items valued at over $8,000.

With the assistance of surveillance footage and the homeowner’s positive identification of the suspect, investigators from the Burglary unit were able to charge 41-year-old Mindy Land with theft. At the conclusion of the investigation, Land faced charges of third-degree burglary and petit larceny.
