Four Arrested in Drug Operation in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – Four individuals have been charged following a narcotics enforcement action in and around Warwick and Greenwood Lake, according to a statement released by Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler and Sheriff Paul Arteta. The charges, announced on Friday, are related to the possession and sale of cocaine and methamphetamine.

This multi-agency operation resulted in the arrest of four defendants. The individuals charged are George Slaughter, 35, Herbert Dawson, 36, Malique Joseph, 25, and Leticia Romero, 43. The charges range from Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

The arrests followed a five-month-long investigation where undercover officers made purchases of narcotics in and around Warwick and Greenwood Lake. During the execution of search warrants, law enforcement officers recovered methamphetamine, cocaine, digital scales, and packaging materials for narcotics from residences in Newburgh, Warwick, and Greenwood Lake.
