52-Year-Old Woman Found Dead With Stab Wounds During Welfare Check

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 52-year-old woman was found stabbed during a welfare check Monday afternoon in Southeast D.C. 52-year-old Regina Morris was found with at least one stab wound by authorities after someone called police for a welfare check.

Just before 3 pm, police arrived at a residence at the Unit Block of Potomac Avenue to investigate a welfare check. Officers discovered Morris at the location suffering from at least one stab wound. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.
