IDYLWOOD, VA – An incident at the Tysons View Apartments on Pimmit Run Lane resulted in two fatalities and two juveniles hospitalized with stab wounds, according to Deputy Chief Eli Cory of the Fairfax County Police Department.

The incident began at approximately 3:37 p.m. on Monday, when a report of a 20-year-old male shot was received. Officers arrived on the scene to discover a deceased male in an apartment’s laundry room and another male with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The injured man was transported to a local hospital, where he subsequently died.

Alongside the shooting victims, two juveniles who had sustained stab wounds were discovered at the scene. They were promptly taken to a hospital, with injuries stated to be non-life-threatening. One of these victims was confirmed to be a resident of Loudoun County.

A knife and a backpack containing narcotics were discovered at the scene, while witnesses reported seeing multiple individuals fleeing the apartment complex. In the initial confusion, it is possible some of those fleeing were local residents caught up in the incident. A search was initiated for the suspects, described as mask-wearing individuals with backpacks, but the search was hindered by adverse weather conditions.
