Fatal Hit-and-Run in Capitol Heights, Suspects Sought

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit has released a photo of two persons of interest related to a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in Capitol Heights on Sunday. Around 12:45 pm, officers responded to the 6700 block of Calmos Street, where they found Dyanny Leiva Sabillon, 20, critically injured. Sabillon was transported to a local hospital, where she was declared dead shortly after.

The unidentified driver and passenger were reportedly traveling northbound on Calmos Street, striking a parked vehicle and Sabillon, who is believed to have been either entering or exiting her vehicle at the time. They continued to hit several parked cars before fleeing the scene on foot. The vehicle involved was later determined to be stolen.
