D.C. Police Find Woman Shot Inside Vehicle

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting that left a woman injured yesterday evening at the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast, D.C. Authorities are actively searching for a tan-colored Chevy Tahoe believed to be connected to the incident.

Just after 6 pm, officers arrived at the scene to investigate a shooting report. A woman sustained a gunshot wound while inside a vehicle located at the location. Emergency services responded, and she was taken to a nearby hospital while conscious and alert. Other details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation and have not been released to the public at this time.
