Driving Enforcement Operation in Utica Leads to Multiple Arrests

UTICA, NY -On Thursday, members of the Utica Police GIVE unit conducting proactive enforcement on Varick St noticed a known individual driving with suspended privileges. After a vehicle stop and interviews with the five occupants, a handgun was discovered in the passenger door pocket.

A disturbance ensued, leading to the escape of one individual from the scene. The remaining three occupants were detained and transported to the Utica Police Department.

Gino Placanica, 26, Garlisha Bailey, 25, Quantasia Hendricks, 31, and Kaleysha Outten, 19, have been charged with various counts including possession of a loaded firearm. Further charges are expected as the investigation continues.
