Three Shot Near Temple University Hospital Emergency Room Entrance

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A shooting incident took place near the emergency room entrance of Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. On the 3400 block of Germantown Avenue, early Thursday, three men were shot while standing outside the hospital.

The victims, an 18-year-old man shot in the hand, a 22-year-old man shot in the knee, and a 25-year-old man shot in the face, back, and arm, managed to re-enter the hospital for treatment. All are currently in stable condition.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small noted the location of the shooting, happening just a few feet from the hospital’s emergency room entrance. At least 40 shots were reportedly fired, leaving bullet holes in the doors and glass at the ER entrance. The Philadelphia Police Department is in pursuit of at least three individuals believed to be in a dark-colored or dark blue four-door sedan heading south on Germantown Avenue.
