Great-grandson who killed elderly couple in Randallstown arrested

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – Homicide detectives in Baltimore County are investigating the deaths of two elderly individuals, an 86-year-old woman, and a 73-year-old man. On Sunday evening, patrol officers responded to a welfare check in the 3500 block of Cabot Road in Randlestown, after the couple could not be reached.

Officers discovered the bodies outside the home. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pronounced both individuals deceased.

The detectives have since arrested Kennard Goins, a 24-year-old male, in relation to the murders. The victims were identified as Goins’ great-grandmother and grandfather.

Goins has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
