Man Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles in Manchester Township

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ- A pedestrian collision resulting in a fatality occurred in the area of County Route 571 near the intersection of Washington Avenue. At around 10:30 pm on Saturday, the Manchester Township Police found 45-year-old Paul Mount of Toms River, NJ, lying in the roadway after being hit by two vehicles.

Investigation revealed that Mount was crossing County Route 571, not within a marked crosswalk, when he was hit by a black 2018 Ford Explorer followed by a black 2021 Toyota Highlander. Both vehicles were located near the crash scene, each with minimal damage.

The drivers of the Ford and Toyota, 21-year-old Cristian Solano of Jackson, NJ, and 27-year-old Fraidel Malka Kramer, respectively, were uninjured. Two other occupants in the Ford, 31-year-old Yonatan Maroles-Guardado and 51-year-old Angel Contreras-Guriervez, also reported no injuries. Despite immediate life-saving measures, Mount was pronounced dead on the scene.
