Teen charged after stabbing man to death, barricading himself inside Queens Home

New York City – Early Thursday morning, police were dispatched home in Queens on 146-21 230 Street after receiving a distressing 911 call regarding a violent individual in a state of emotional distress brandishing a knife.

Responding to the report, police arrived at the scene to learn a man had been stabbed and a suspect was barricaded inside the building.

Upon arrival, officers were confronted by a 19-year-old male who, armed with a knife, attempted to barricade himself within the confines of the residence.


Police gained access into the home.

Once inside, they discovered a 60-year-old male with stab wounds to his chest and a deep slash wound to his arm, inflicted by the teen suspect.

Police took action was taken to neutralize the threat posed by the assailant, using a taser.

First responders provided life-saving aid to the 60-year-old male victim, employing their expertise to stabilize his critical condition. He was expeditiously transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jamaica. Tragically, despite the valiant efforts of medical professionals, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The 19-year-old male was promptly taken into custody by law enforcement and subsequently transferred to Long Island Jewish Hospital for a comprehensive evaluation of his mental state. Authorities are diligently conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident, determined to uncover the circumstances leading up to this unsettling event.

At present, the identification of the deceased individual is being withheld until the proper notification of family members has been carried out.
