Uber driver carjacked in Brooklyn

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying an individual related to a robbery in Brooklyn.

On Saturday, at around 1 am, a 30-year-old male Uber driver operating a 2017 black Toyota Camry was rear-ended at the intersection of Columbia Street and West 9th Street by an unidentified male in a white Dodge Ram.

Upon exiting their vehicles to inspect the damage, the suspect brandished a firearm and forced the victim onto the sidewalk, fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle.


The stolen vehicle was later recovered in the 5th Precinct. No injuries were reported from this incident.
