Smyrna Resident Arrested for Felony DUI Following Crash

SMYRNA, DE – Delaware State Police apprehended Glenn Wilson, 61, of Smyrna, on felony DUI charges after a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, at around 8:58 p.m. Wilson was found in a Chevrolet Equinox in a ditch near the intersection of Wheatleys Pond Road and Mt Friendship Road.

Police investigations revealed that Wilson had failed to stop at an intersection, leading his vehicle to strike a ditch. Wilson, displaying evident signs of impairment, was taken into custody following a DUI investigation.

Wilson, who has three prior DUI convictions, was charged with 4th Offense DUI (felony) and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign (violation). He was transferred to Troop 9 and committed to Howard R Young Correctional Institution on a $6001 secured bond.
