Wilmington Family Dollar Robbed by Woman Threatening to Shoot

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware State Police have begun investigating a robbery that took place on Sunday morning, at a local Family Dollar. At approximately 9:49 a.m., an unidentified black female entered the Family Dollar located at 1914 Maryland Avenue. She demanded money from the employees at the cash register, implying she was armed and ready to shoot.

The employees complied with her demands, and the suspect managed to escape on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Arriving troopers conducted a thorough search of the surrounding areas to no avail.

There were no reported injuries, and the suspect was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing. Surveillance footage has yet to be obtained.
