SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney paid a visit to a critical location linked to the ongoing Gilgo serial killing case on Tuesday.
Tierney notified reporters that several other women have come forward about alleged interactions with 59-year-old suspect architect Rex Heuermann.
“My staff is really going to vet these additional females to see if they actually did come in contact with him and then see what that contact was and see if that can lead us in any other possible direction,” he said during a press conference.
The visit happened in near Massapequa Park. This location has been a focal point for investigators due to a recent search warrant. Tierney, representing the Suffolk County, held a media briefing following his visit to the site.
The women who came forward are also reportedly sex workers like the ones targeted by Heuermann.
“My staff is really going to vet these additional females to see if they actually did come in contact with him and then see what that contact was and see if that can lead us in any other possible direction,” Sheriff Toulon reported today.
The press conference took place at the junction of Michigan Avenue and First Avenue in Massapequa Park at 12:30 p.m.
