Monmouth County DWI Task Force Announces Labor Day Checkpoints

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct two checkpoints during the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

The first checkpoint is set to take place this Friday, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Freehold Township. All northbound vehicles on Route 9 will be diverted into Juniper Business Plaza.

The second checkpoint will occur on Saturday, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Holmdel. All southbound vehicles on Route 35 will be diverted into the Dearborn Market parking lot.

Officers from local towns will work alongside Task Force members to screen drivers for sobriety.

Monmouth County DWI Task Force Coordinator and Allenhurst Police Department Chief Michael Schneider emphasized the significance of responsible driving during the holiday weekend.
