New York, NY — Authorities revealed on Friday that a 66-year-old violinist may face an untimely end to her career after being randomly shoved to the ground on August 5, resulting in her wrist being fractured in 10 places.

Michael Allen, the 34-year-old suspect with a history of 15 arrests and seven convictions, was granted supervised release without bail by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Lumarie Maldonado Cruz.

The assault occurred as the musician was leaving her workplace, a theater on West 45th Street. Allen, who has previously been convicted for assault and also has an ongoing case for allegedly attacking a police officer, was the subject of a $50,000 bail request from prosecutor Madeline Holbrook.

The request highlighted Allen’s past violations of probation and instances of failing to appear in court. Nonetheless, the judge released Allen on supervised terms.
