ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Detectives of the Special Investigations Section of the Atlantic City Police Department have arrested two men, seizing a substantial amount of drugs and a loaded handgun, following a two-month investigation led by Detective Eric Evans.
The individuals, Breion Turner and James Turner Jr., were arrested on September 1 at their residences on active warrants. Breion was apprehended at his home in the 600 block of North Annapolis Avenue, while James was arrested in the 4200 block of West End Avenue.
Subsequent court-ordered search warrants executed at both locations yielded one loaded handgun, additional ammunition, 653 bags of heroin, 46 grams of ecstasy, 314 grams of cocaine, 59 grams of marijuana, 24 grams of methamphetamine, $2,751 in cash, and drug distribution paraphernalia.
Breion Turner, 33, faces multiple charges including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, possession of hollow-point ammunition, certain persons not to possess a weapon, and various counts related to drug possession and intent to distribute, as well as money laundering.
James Turner Jr., 51, is charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and additional counts related to proximity to public and school zones, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and money laundering.
Both men are currently held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The public is reminded that these charges are allegations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
