UTICA, NY – A gunshot victim was rushed to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Wednesday afternoon after a shooting on Dudley Ave left a male victim in critical condition.
The Oneida County 911 center received a call at approximately 1:30PM indicating that a vehicle was en route to the hospital carrying a man who had been shot. Upon arrival, medical staff discovered the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the back and immediately commenced life-saving measures. The man was subsequently transferred to surgery and remains in critical condition.
The ongoing investigation revealed that the incident took place on the 1500 block of Dudley Ave. The victim was a passenger in a vehicle that came under fire. The parties involved in the incident proceeded directly to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for emergency medical attention.
