WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. MPD detectives are investigating a shooting that resulted in a woman’s death in Southeast D.C. late Monday night.

Shortly before midnight, officers were dispatched to the 5100 block of Fitch Street following reports of gunshots. Upon reaching the scene, they found a woman on the roadway with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the location.

The deceased has been identified as Tangia Tates-Little, a 40-year-old resident of Southeast D.C.
