Bronx Man Found Dead in Englewood Home

ENGLEWOOD, NJ – A homicide on Saturday morning has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Englewood Police Department.

At 5:55 a.m., Englewood Police received a 911 call from a residence at 6 Mevan Avenue reporting a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene to find 35-year-old Jason Hidalgo of Bronx, New York, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds within the residence.

The investigation is led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. Authorities have indicated the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
