Mobile MVC Unit Returns to Cranford

CRANFORD, NJ – The Community Outreach Unit has announced the return of the Motor Vehicle Commission’s mobile unit to Cranford on October 19. This initiative is targeted towards assisting residents with limited mobility or access to the traditional MVC Center.

The Mobile Unit has a capacity to serve 40 customers, while an additional 10 customers can be accommodated on a standby list. Among the services provided by the Mobile Unit include:

However, it’s important to note that certain transactions are not possible at the Mobile Unit. These include business vehicle registrations, CDL’s, endorsements excluding boats and motorcycles, knowledge tests, out-of-state license transfers, permit tests (only issuance is possible), and new titles/registrations for both in-state and out-of-state vehicles.

The Mobile Unit’s hours of operation are from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Residents with questions or in need of more information are encouraged to reach out for further assistance.
