CALVERT COUNTY, MD – The Maryland State Highway Administration announced a week-long, overnight bridge inspection of the MD 4 Bridge/Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge, scheduled to continue through Thursday, Nov. 16.
The inspections, conducted from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, will involve lane closures and alternating traffic patterns. Portable variable message signs are in place to inform motorists of the changes.
Travelers crossing the bridge during these hours should anticipate delays and are advised to plan additional travel time. Motorists are urged to reduce speed and remain alert while navigating through the active work zones.
