Jacksonville Couple Arrested After Failed Attempt to Evade Law Enforcement

JACKSONVILLE, FL – In the early hours of Monday, Tyrand Costello, 36, and Kalesha Hester, 25, were apprehended by deputies from the Baker County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

The Jacksonville couple faced an unsuccessful evasion attempt after their car, reported stolen from Lake City, ran out of gas on US Highway 90 in Sanderson.

The stolen vehicle was spotted by a relative of the owner, leading to the response of the deputies.

BCSO was assisted by K-9 teams from Baker Correctional Institution in tracking Costello and Hester through nearby woods. Their attempt to flee on foot was short-lived, as they were apprehended on the roadway by a deputy.

Costello, with an active warrant from Duval County, awaits extradition, while Hester faces charges of resisting an officer without violence.
