Wheelchair Hit and Run Suspect Sought by Police

by Ryan Dickinson

PITTSBURGH, PA — On Monday, November 13, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a hit-and-run incident occurred at the intersection of Centre Avenue and N. Craig Street in Pittsburgh. A woman using a wheelchair was struck by a white Honda vehicle, believed to be an Accord. The incident was captured on video, and police are now seeking assistance from the public to identify the driver.

The woman in the wheelchair was assessed by medical personnel at the scene but declined transportation to the hospital. Observations of the vehicle suggest that it had not traveled far before the collision, as all windows were covered with frost.

The Pittsburgh Police request that anyone with information related to the incident contact the Zone 4 plainclothes detectives at (412) 422-6520. This appeal forms part of the ongoing investigation to locate and identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
