Teenagers Injured, Family Dog Lost in Martin County House Fire

by Jeff Jones

MARTIN COUNTY, FL — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) recently responded to a house fire on NW Fork Rd. An 18-year-old victim suffering from smoke inhalation and burns was airlifted to the hospital. A second teenager was also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Tragically, a family dog perished in the fire. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated near a charging area for an electrical device. Further details and the cause of the fire are under investigation by the authorities.
