BELLPORT, NY – Levoughn McKinnie, 36, of Bellport, entered a guilty plea to multiple weapons and drug offenses just as his trial was about to commence. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the development, emphasizing the commitment to combating the spread of illegal drugs and weapons in Suffolk County.
On January 26, 2023, Suffolk County Police Department members, executing a search warrant at a residence associated with McKinnie, discovered cocaine, digital scales, drug packaging materials, cash, and a loaded .380 caliber semiautomatic pistol.
Before Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei, McKinnie pleaded guilty on November 29, 2023, to second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. These charges range from Class A misdemeanors to Class C violent felonies.
McKinnie’s criminal history includes 2008 and 2005 felony convictions for attempted sale of a controlled substance and attempted assault, respectively. He is represented by attorney Scott Zerner, Esq.
