Tail Light Traffic Stop Turns Into Gun Bust

ROXBURY, MA – On Monday, a routine traffic stop led to the arrest of Luis Fernando Guzman-Ortiz, 30, of Andover.

The arrest was made by officers from the Drug Control and Anti-Crime Units of District B-2, Roxbury.

The stop, initiated due to a defective tail light, escalated when officers discovered Guzman-Ortiz’s suspended driver’s license and subsequently a concealed firearm in his vehicle.

The firearm, identified as a SCCY 9mm with nine rounds, resulted in Guzman-Ortiz facing charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Roxbury District Court.
