Man Doused With Oil During Attack and Robbery at Bronx Supermarket

NEW YORK, NY – A 53-year-old man was assaulted and robbed at a supermarket located at 411 East Tremont Avenue. The incident occurred on Friday, December 15, 2023, at around 1:50 PM.

Two unidentified individuals entered the supermarket and attacked the victim. They punched him and threw oil on him before forcibly taking his cellphone. After the assault, the assailants fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Despite the attack, the victim refused medical attention. The New York City Police Department is conducting an investigation into this incident. They are seeking any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the individuals involved. Witnesses or anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the authorities to assist in the investigation.
