Gunfire in Queens Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

QUEENS, NY – A shooting incident in Queens resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman and left a 39-year-old man injured late Tuesday night. Police report that the incident occurred at 127 Street and Liberty Avenue, within the 106 Precinct’s jurisdiction.

At approximately 11:56 PM, a black Honda sedan arrived at the 103 Precinct station house. The driver, a 39-year-old male, informed officers that both he and his female passenger had been shot. Investigations revealed the shooting took place earlier in the confines of the 106 Precinct.

The male driver sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. The female passenger, aged 28, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services. The injured man was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased woman is being withheld until her family is notified.
