INDIAN HEAD, MD – A 19-year-old male victim was shot in the back on Monday, in Indian Head, Maryland. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred around 2:13 p.m. near Jameson Court.
Emergency crews, upon arriving at the scene, located the victim in a residence and provided immediate medical attention.
The victim was then airlifted to a trauma center by Maryland State Police Aviation Command, Trooper 7, from a landing zone established at Indian Head Elementary School.
Currently, there are no descriptions of any suspects involved in the shooting.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation and will release further details as they become available.
