EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – In light of the recent snowfall, the East Brunswick Police Department reminds residents of the parking restrictions on snow-covered streets. According to Ordinance § 209-31, parking is prohibited on any street, avenue, highway, or portion thereof in the Township of East Brunswick when the roadway is covered with snow. This ban remains in effect until the streets have been sufficiently plowed and safe for normal traffic flow.

Residents are urged to remove vehicles from the streets to facilitate efficient snow removal by Public Works personnel. During snowstorms, the primary focus is on clearing main roads to ensure safe passage for emergency vehicles and motorists. The department asks that residents refrain from blowing snow onto roadways, as it can create hazardous conditions.

The East Brunswick Police Department appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this time.
