CROFTON, MD – A Crofton High School student, Cameron Jayce Harris, 18, was arrested on Wednesday, after a handgun and ammunition were found in his possession.
The School Resource Officer was called to the administration office following a report involving an incident on a school bus.
School administration discovered the unloaded handgun and five rounds of ammunition during a backpack search.
There were no reports of the weapon being displayed prior to its discovery. Harris has been arrested and faces related charges.
The school and police officials have not provided additional details about the incident at this time.
