Suspects Caught On Camera In D.C. Purse Snatchings

WASHINGTON, DC – The search is underway for suspects involved in two separate robbery incidents in Southeast D.C., as announced by the First District detectives.

The first incident occurred on March 26, at around 6:50 p.m., on the 800 block of I Street, Southeast. Here, the suspects confronted a victim, demanding their belongings. The confrontation escalated when one suspect assaulted the victim and forcibly took their purse before fleeing the area.

Later that evening, at approximately 10:30 p.m., another robbery took place on the 1100 block of 2nd Place, Southeast. The suspects again demanded the victim’s property. After the victim resisted, one suspect managed to snatch the vehicle keys from the victim’s purse, and the suspects then escaped from the scene.

Authorities have obtained footage of four suspects believed to be involved in these robberies.
