HYATTSVILLE, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place Thursday night in the unincorporated area of Hyattsville. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Cesar Benitez from Chantilly, VA. In connection with this case, authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
The incident occurred on March 28, around 10:25 PM, in the 6500 block of Ager Road. Responding officers discovered Benitez outside, suffering from a gunshot wound, and pronounced him dead at the scene.
