Man Dead in Drowning at Deltona Residential Pool

DELTONA, FL – The Volusia Sheriff’s Office has reported a heartbreaking incident that occurred over the weekend involving the drowning of a 26-year-old man in a residential pool.

Tyrone L. McQueen Jr. was discovered unresponsive in a pool at a Deltona home located at 959 Loren Drive. Family members and a neighbor found McQueen late Saturday after noticing his absence throughout the day. Despite efforts to rescue him, deputies who responded to the scene were unable to revive McQueen. He was pronounced deceased at 9:11 p.m. on Saturday.

Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest the drowning was a tragic accident, with no signs of foul play detected. Authorities are awaiting full autopsy results to conclude their investigation.
