Man Found Dead from Multiple Gunshot Wounds in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was found deceased from gunshot wounds early Wednesday morning in Southeast Washington, sparking an investigation by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch.

Responding to a call about a person down on Fort Dupont Drive, officers arrived at the scene at approximately 7:19 a.m. Despite efforts by DC Fire and EMS, the victim was pronounced dead after all life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

The identity of the deceased is currently withheld, awaiting notification of next of kin.
