Investigation Underway After Shooting Wounds Man in Atlantic City

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating a shooting incident that left a man seriously injured. The incident occurred on Monday at 8:49 PM on the first block of South Bellevue Avenue.

Responding to a ShotSpotter alert, patrol officers found a 42-year-old man from Laurel Springs, NJ, who had been struck by gunfire. He was subsequently transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5766 or to text tip411 (847411), starting the message with “ACPD”.
