Search Underway for Suspect in D.C. Sexual Assault

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit is requesting the public’s help to identify and locate a man accused of third-degree sexual abuse. The assault occurred in the 1100 block of 3rd Street, Northeast, early Wednesday morning.

The incident took place at approximately 5:13 AM, when the suspect forcibly pushed the victim against a wall and engaged in non-consensual sexual contact before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a male, between 5’10” and 6’0” tall, with a thin build. He was last observed wearing a black hoodie with the hood drawn tight around his face, gray pants, and knitted mittens.
