Police Investigate Shooting in Wilmerding

Wilmerding, PA – County Police actively search for the suspect involved in a shots-fired incident in Wilmerding. Pitcairn Police requested help from Allegheny County Police after multiple shots were fired into a residence on Airbrake Avenue, with no injuries reported despite eight occupants present.

Investigators recovered over 30 shell casings and projectiles from the scene where juveniles were sleeping. Following their inquiries, detectives identified Braden Hicks, 19, and Darnell Edge, 16, as the suspects. Hicks and Edge face various charges, and Edge was apprehended on Sunday and is now in Allegheny County Jail.

Authorities are urgently looking for Hicks, described as 6’0” tall and around 140 pounds. People are advised not to approach him if seen but to call 9-1-1 immediately due to potential danger. Information on Hicks’ whereabouts can be reported to the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS, with anonymity guaranteed.
