Atlanta, GA – A California man has been accused of posting death threats in YouTube livestreams against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for prosecuting former President Donald Trump. Marc Shultz, 66, was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 24 for transmitting interstate threats against Willis. U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan emphasized that sending death threats to a public official is a criminal offense that will not be tolerated.
Authorities stated that last October, Shultz posted multiple comments in YouTube livestream videos, including one instance where he threatened Willis stating she “will be killed like a dog.” Shultz has made his initial appearance in federal court in Southern California and is due to be formally arraigned in Atlanta in June. Willis expressed gratitude towards U.S. Attorney Ryan Buchanan and the FBI for their efforts to ensure the safety of public officials and their families amidst such threats.
